Meditation
Awareness of our inner life. the practice of finding peace within.
Awareness of our inner life can be achieved by reducing mental chatter. There are various types of meditation to choose from, including guided meditation and focused meditation on an object—such as a mantra, sound, image, candle flame, or even the breath. All these practices can lead us to a place of inner peace.
During meditation in the tantric tradition, we adopt the perspective of an observer, mindfully acknowledging our thoughts without becoming attached to them. Our thoughts drift by like clouds; witnessing them without attachment helps quiet the mental chatter often referred to as the “monkey mind.” This metaphor likens our thoughts to wild monkeys that leap from branch to branch, leading us on tangents through an uncontrollable past and future as we navigate the chaotic jungle of our waking state. By providing the mind with a point of focus—whether it be guided meditation, the breath, or a mantra—we can access an inner world of stillness, love, and peace.
In addition to being an effective way to release accumulated stress, meditation offers numerous health benefits, including enhanced brain function, a strengthened immune system, increased physical vitality, and improved sleep quality.

Yoga Nidra
A progressive and systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a powerful practice that teaches you to relax consciously. The term "Yoga" means union or inner communication, while "Nidra" translates to sleep. Thus, Yoga Nidra literally means "Yogic Sleep." However, it is not sleep in the traditional sense; it is often described as "sleepless sleep." During the practice, you remain aware, awake, and alert, but your consciousness operates at different levels of awareness.
In this class, you'll find a cozy spot to snuggle under your own blanket, enhancing your comfort. Lying on your mat with your eyes closed, the teacher will guide you through various layers of awareness using different definite techniques, leading your mind to a calm and harmonious state that facilitates deep meditation. Therefore, Yoga Nidra can also be considered a form of meditation.
Practicing Yoga Nidra can significantly improve the quality of your life. It offers deep relaxation and meditation, inducing numerous benefits. This restful practice is particularly helpful for busy lives prone to burnout, exhaustion, and increased stress. It can enhance sleep, rejuvenate the body, improve memory, and even foster creativity.
Yoga Nidra is now used with individuals suffering from PTSD and has been shown to reduce tension and anxiety. Many students report experiencing a blissful state between wakefulness and sleep. However, if you feel fatigued or overwhelmed, don’t be surprised if you end up napping—that's simply what your body needs at that moment.
